About us

Founded by three sisters in 2011

Red Hearts of Hope began with a science educator, Eunice Jean-Marie, who saw how little financial and academic knowledge many teenagers and young adults had to work with.

A series of small meetings with her sisters and a few local women laid the foundation. With starter money from family and friends, Eunice and her sisters Danielle Jean-Marie and Vanessa Desroches founded Red Hearts of Hope, Inc. in 2011.

Eunice Jean-Marie leads Red Hearts of Hope today.

In our own words

What Red Hearts of Hope is for

  • We educate to strengthen families.
  • A nonprofit organization dedicated to educating youth in efforts to build stronger families.
  • We are changing lives one thought at a time.

Who we work with

Children, teenagers and young adults in North Miami Beach and across Miami-Dade, and the families around them.

Science camps for elementary grades, a literary series for readers aged 3 to 13 and their parents, a leadership academy for high school students, and mentoring for young mothers returning from the juvenile justice system.

The programs

About a dozen teenagers sit around an oval conference table with papers and a water bottle; a girl in a pink top turns to speak, and a woman holding papers stands at the right edge.
